Obstetrics & Gynaecology
 The Department of
Gynaecology has been functioning from the year 1965, with regular
antenatal and gynaecological out-patient services. Screening for
cervical cancer with pap smear is a routine procedure. Infertility
problems are taken up. With the starting of Obstetrics in 1991, the
department has very successfully dealt with normal, difficult, and
high-risk deliveries. The addition of the neonatology ward in 2003
has been of great value in providing 24-hour emergency and other
essential post-natal care for newborns.
The department is
recognised for post-graduate training by the National Board of
Examinations.
